Visitor centres at Ajanta, Ellora shut due to pending dues
Two tourist visitor centres set up at the Ajanta and Ellora caves here by the Maharashtra government with funding from the Japanese International Co- operation Agency (JICA) have been shut due to their pending water and electricity dues worth Rs 5 crore, an official said. The centres, which were supposed to serve as a one- stop location for all information about history and importance of these world famous UNESCO heritage sites, have replicas of some sculptures located inside the caves. The state government set up the two centres, having facilities like audio-visual presentations and library, in 2013 for which Rs 125 crore was spent in two phases, the official told PTI. A big chunk of this fund came from JICA, he said, on condition of anonymity. The facilities ran smoothly for sometime but have been closed since September last year as they do not have water and power supply, he said. "The dues of these two centres are now running into Rs five crore," he said. "The ...

Guardiola claims Man City a victim of their own success
Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City are paying the price for having raised the bar in how many points it takes to win the Premier League. Guardiola's men have won the title in the past two seasons with record tallies of 100 and 98 points, but travel to Arsenal on Sunday already 17 points behind runaway leaders Liverpool. "I didn't want to think it too much in the beginning of the season but I thought will we be able to do it again?" Guardiola admitted in his pre-match press conference. "When we arrived here the standard was 85 points to win. Now you have to reach almost 100 points to win the Premier League. "That is why we helped Liverpool to make this step, buy incredible top players and now it is the level you have to reach. All the teams that are behind Liverpool, we know we have to make 100 points." City denied Liverpool the title last season by winning their last 14 league games to become the first side to retain the Premier League in a decade. Four defeats in 12 league games .

Champions League expansion plan angers Klopp
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reacted angrily to a proposal that could see the Champions League group stage transformed into a 32-team division. Reigning European champions Liverpool already have a packed fixture programme, with the runaway Premier League leaders due to fly to Qatar for the Club World Cup less than 24 hours after Saturday's 2-0 win over Watford at Anfield. Indeed so congested is their schedule that Liverpool have two games in as many days next week, with Klopp set to field a youth side for the English League Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa on Tuesday before the senior team plays in Doha on Wednesday. Against this background, it was no surprise that Klopp was decidedly unimpressed by talk of an increase in Champions League matches that would lead to a fresh fixture pile-up. "Today I read the top clubs want more games in the Champions League -- I am not involved in these plans but that is absolute bollocks," he told reporters after the Watford game. "The ...

"The installation process was carried out during a 16-day drydocking," he said. "We worked alongside our in-yard partner Step Consolidated to install an Alfa Laval system in the Paxoi. In order to maximise speed and efficiency our engineers fabricated new pipes before the vessel arrived after requesting 3D CAD drawings from the vessel management team.
