Pichai joined Google in 2004 and started amassing responsibility for some of the most popular products of the company, including Gmail, the Chrome browser and Android. Former employees often describe him as a collaborative and loyal colleague. He even turned down a big new grant of stock in 2018 because he felt he was already paid generously.
India has cemented its position as the second largest market for LinkedIn, the Microsoft-owned professional-networking firm, with a 24% jump in its Indian user base in the past one year, taking the total to over 62 million users, second only to US.
The neuro science research technique collects data from respondents by brain recordings and facial coding in specialised labs, instead of verbal or emailed responses. It involves respondents, who are paid to sign up for the research, after which they are invited to a Nielsen lab which collects data from them through brain mapping, facial coding and biometrics.
Google Fiber announced this week it was pulling the plug on its 100 Mbps service to new customers in order to just offer its gigabit service. Google Fiber's $50-per-month internet plan is grandfathered in for its existing customers, but the company said the focus would be on its gigabit service going forward.
