Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday told Lok Sabha that Firoz Khan, an Assistant Professor, was in Banaras Hindu University's Sanskrit department and will remain there.Nishank made the remarks during a debate on the Central Sanskrit Universities Bill in Lok Sabha."Firoz Khan is in the Sanskrit department, and will remain there," he said.The minister was responding to concerns of some Opposition members over the controversy related to his appointment."Sanskrit is everybody's language," the minister said.There was a protest by students in BHU over Khan's appointment in the faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan (SVDV).Khan resigned from his post at SVDV and joined the Arts Faculty of the University after which the sit-in protest ended.

For further info, get in touch with the airline concerned. Any inconvenience caused to flyers is regretted."Air India stated that due to heavy rain and consequent congestion at the Airport, some fights have been diverted and held up at Delhi."Due to heavy rains and consequent congestion over Delhi Airport, following flights are diverted and held up at Delhi: A) Diverted to Jaipur - AI-687 BOM/DEL, AI-701 CCU/DEL. CBI registers case against Mumbai-based jewellery company, directors

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against a Mumbai-based private jewellery company, its three directors and others, including unknown public servants, on a complaint from a bank.In a press note, the CBI said, "It was alleged that the said company availed cash credit facilities to the tune of Rs 578.50 crore under consortium banking arrangement from eight banks and cheated them by way of forgery and using forged documents. This caused wrongful loss to these banks of about Rs 568.52 crore approximately."Searches have been conducted today at 13 places including office and residential premises of the accused and others in Lonavala in Maharashtra, which led to the recovery of various incriminating documents, the CBI said.The investigation is continuing, the Central probe agency added.
